Thefts in stores in Växjö

During the night to Monday, two grocery stores at Höstvägen in Växjö were exposed for damage and theft.

– Several people who have been seen at the site blocked a road with bicycles. They smashed large windows on both Coop and ICA. We have a notification concerning both crimes so it is unclear exactly what has happened in which store but boxes at the checkouts were pulled out and a tobacco machine had been demolished, says Patric Fors, press officer at the police in the region south, to Mosaik.

According to information provided to Mosaik, cigarettes and parcels, among other things, got stolen. The police have searched in the area for suspects but have not found anyone. The events happened around 02.20.
