Three dead at elderly homes in Alvesta

Three people have died at a retirement home in Alvesta after being infected by the new coronavirus. Up to 15 people are infected at the accommodation and the infection has also reached the staff.

- We have isolated and closed the departments. All personnel are in their departments and so we have staff who work only with those infected. But what is clear and what is nationally recognized is that many are infected without symptoms. This is a big problem, says Arnold Lennartsson, medically responsible nurse at Alvesta municipality, to Smålandsposten.

Over a hundred people have been infected in Kronoberg County and at least five people have died as a result of covid-19.
