Växjö Municipality does not want to reduce the speed limit
The Swedish Transport Administration wants to reduce the speed limit of the entire national highway 23 between Växjö and Huseby. The authority wants to see 80 kilometers per hour on the entire route. Today it is 90 kilometers per hour on parts of the route.
Växjö Municipality has now commented on the Swedish Transport Administration's proposal, and they do not think that a reduced speed limit is the right way to go. The technical administration writes in a proposal to the politicians that "the working committee opposes the most specific proposal for new regulations for speed restrictions on road 23", reports Smålandsposten.
