Växjö profiles in known radio program

"Sommar" is a program in the Swedish Radio that is broadcasted every summer in P1. The broadcasters are especially invited "summer hosts" and they are responsible for each program where they tell about themselves and play music that they have chosen themselves.

"Sommar" is a very popular program and it is considered to be honored to get the assignment to be a summer host. This year, three of those who will be summer hosts are from Växjö. They are the journalist Emma Leijnse, the artist John Lundvik and the photographer Alexander Mahmoud.

John Lundvik will hold his summer program on July 15th. The program is about Lundvik's long musical journey. On July 25th, the photographer Alexander Mahmoud from Växjö and Grimslöv is the summer host. He will talk about his mother who came to Småland from Yugoslavia as a lost 16-year-old. On August 15th, Emma Leijnse, who was born in Växjö and who now works as a journalist at Sydsvenska Dagbladet, will be running the program.
