Växjö resident receives a Japanese prize
In the 1960s Mitsuru Suzuki moved to Växjö and started working as a university lecturer at Linnaeus University. He is now praised by the Japanese Foreign Minister for his work with Swedish and Japanese exchange students.
- I have worked with exchange students for 30 years, but not just with Japan. Looking at the whole country, we have the most students who have visited or studied in Japan during their studies. It is over 1,000 students, says Suzuki to Smålandsposten.
The awards' ceremony will take place at the Japanese Embassy in Stockholm at the end of August.
