Walpurgis Night is celebrated in Växjö

April 30th is the time to celebrate Walpurgis Night again. This year's festival is on a Tuesday and is celebrated in Linnéparken and at Växjösjön in central Växjö.

New for this year is that the time for the celebration in Linnéparken takes place at 19.30. There will be music, song, dance and speech about spring. Växjö schools music year, Växjö manskör and Kulturama Preparandum cheerleaders are responsible for the entertainment on the Linnaeus Park scene. In addition, Sara Bäckmo, author and blogger, will be speaking about spring.

After the celebration, there will be a common torch train down to Växjösjön. To the notes from the music schools in Växjö, the ballot box fire will be lit at about 20.30 on Tuesday.
