Internationella vänner (The International Friends Association) in Alvesta is seeking nearly 300,000 Swedish crowns in grants from the County Administrative Board in Kronoberg. The association's goal is to make it easier for asylum seekers to get a job and the hope is that the money will be enough for next year.

– The company makes community-oriented study visits to companies. It makes it easier for asylum seekers to faster get a residence permit and the opportunity to stay in Sweden. Of course, we cannot promise any jobs, no actor can. But we can be involved in creating contacts for both society and working life. We believe strongly in this, says Peter Lagerman, coordinator of International Friends, to the Smålandsposten.

The association started in 2013 in Värnamo in Småland.
