Active school selection is being investigated in Växjö

Växjö municipality is investigating whether they should introduce an active school choice, which means that parents must choose where their children should go to school.
– The main argument is that one should be able to feel involved and influence their life. That you get a chance to choose the school that you think suits the best, says Pernilla Torneus (M), who is chair of the educational board, to SVT News Småland.
The investigation is expected to be completed by the autumn and if the proposal goes through it can be completed in 2020.
