Dozens of demonstrators gathered on Saturday afternoon in the center of Växjö, to carry out a vigil in solidarity with the Iranian revolution demanding the overthrow of Khamenei's regime. Several speeches were delivered during the manifestation by activists who condemned the crimes committed by the Iranian regime against the demonstrators in Iran. The protesters also chanted the overthrow of the Islamic Republic and Khamenei's regime, which they described as a dictator.

- Today the regime is committing brutal crimes against humanity. Although the world leaders are silent. The world’s politicians and decision makers can do much more. First, stop negotiating with the regime, and therefore stop legitimizing a regime that does not represent the people!

Contact the Iranian ambassadors in your countries. Call the Iranian ambassador for foreign affairs! Expel the ambassador and other Iranian diplomats from your countries! Don't harbor pressure groups and regime spies!. Says Golnoush Lunden Faez, a member of the Center Party and one of the organizers of the vigil.

The demonstrators raised several slogans calling for the freedom of the Iranian people. Among these slogans is " The woman live freedom". The protesters called on the international community to stand with the Iranian people and support their causes.

- I am here today to support the Iranian people in restoring their violated rights. The Iranian people are suffering greatly at the present time. I lived in Iran so I love Iran and the Iranian people and wish them freedom. I think the protests in Iran are the best way to bring about change in Iran. I also hope that it will result in the realization of the dream of freedom for Iranians, and strengthen individual choices so that one can decide their own destiny.
