Dozens of Palestinian and Iraqi asylum seekers in southern Sweden staged a protest in front of the Immigration Department in the center of Växjö. Where the protesters demanded the settlement of their cases and granting them residency.

– Attorney Shaheen Shaheen is responsible for asylum applications cases and he is the one who submitted all cases to the Immigration Department. We extracted a document from the Palestinian embassy stating that the Palestinian refugees are refugees without a homeland and they are not entitled to return to Palestine and in the same They are not Iraqis, and they do not have the right to return to Iraq. This document was submitted to the Immigration Department collectively and includes about 150 cases, but the Immigration Department began issuing individual rejection decisions. Therefore, the goal of the stand today is to obtain a unified decision regarding all cases, says Cyrine Tamim, one of the organizers of the protest.

In addition to, the protesters submitted a petition with their names and case numbers and handed it over to the Immigration Department, in order to review their cases and obtain residencies.
