Million win at Lotto

A mother and her daughter in Alvesta have won over a million Swedish crowns at Lotto. They get to share more than 1.5 million Swedish crowns.

According to Svenska Spel, the mother could first not believed that it was true when she was contacted and congratulated for the win.

– Too bad I don't have champagne at home otherwise it would have been a good time to open it now. But my daughter will be visiting soon so we can celebrate together then, she should have said on the phone.

The woman put a new, so called, 5-week game on Lotto at Ica Supermarket in Alvesta last week. The line consisted of a combination of random numbers and some specially selected based on a few birthdays.

– What a nice surprise for both mother and daughter during Saturday night! How wonderful for them to be able to share the joy of winning big with each other. Now they have to make sure to celebrate properly when they meet, says Svenska Spel Tour's winning communicator Natalie Wallin.
